Opel Astra exterior design:

Sleek, sporty, sculpted.

The new Opel Astra design takes up the new Opel design language - sculptural artistry meets German precision. The sporty face of the next generation Opel compact car exudes an exclusive yet understated air of self-confidence. The eagle eye-shaped headlamps hold the prominent daytime running lights. The steeply raked windshield adds sporty excitement to the traditional hatchback format.

Flowing lines, seamless transitions – the Astra’s self-confident, powerful silhouette is accentuated by muscular and flowing bodywork. The “blade” element first seen in Insignia further conveys the dynamic family resemblance. The bold rear design of the 5-door hatchback highlights the powerful broad-shouldered stance and wider track of the new Astra.

In the Sport and Cosmo trim levels, the Astra’s windows are fully encircled by an eye-catching chrome frame for a more premium feeling. The falling roofline with its dynamic "V-graphic" and wraparound rear window add coupe-like flair.

Opel Astra interior design:

The inside story.

The sweeping lines and wraparound instrument panel harmonize to create a welcoming feeling of airy roominess. The high quality materials of the new Opel Astra are matched by the excellent standard of workmanship.

The main surfaces are textured with soft touch material and high quality grains. Chrome accents add a technical, modern edge to the cockpit. The blade theme can also be found here – in details like the air vents, door grab handles and steering wheel.

Great attention has been paid to detail in the new Opel Astra – like the design and practical placement of control elements like the multi-functional controller or the buttons on the center stack. The result: an exquisitely driver-oriented cockpit with excellent ergonomics.
